A Dedicated Teacher

My goal in teaching a private lesson or a class is to create a positive, fun and no-fail environment for learning. Many factors have contributed to my ability to do this successfully:

My early learning experiences

  • A great elementary general music class where I learned to read music
  • The string program in the Madison School District in Phoenix where I started the violin
  • My supportive and nurturing teachers

  • Bachelor's in Music Education from IU
  • Training in the Suzuki method from my teacher and colleague, Max Mandel, on the job at Mandel Music Studios and at summer institutes
  • A ongoing to continued improvement by participation in yearly workshops by the American String Teachers Association (ASTA) and Arizona Suzuki Association (ASA)
